No, it's just that Nottingham haa tons of vintage and second hand stores.

Boots were from a vintge clothes shop called 'celias', DRs coat was from a shop called 'Fancy Dress Bank' who are having a clearout and I'm doing some odd jobs for them sorting their old surplus kit out for them.

On that note I have about 40 odd East and West German tunics and peaked caps if anyones interested?

Celias have two very nice leather jerkins with serge lining for £45 a piece, ones belgian the other might be a private purchase officers one as its quite nice (not made from offcuts) has football buttons and a chocolate brown serge lining.

From Finmere Carboot sale today...

A 1945 dated British/Commonwealth Dah (Indian machete). Cheers for being my encylopedia Yith! - £Cheap
A 1939 dated book 'Bible, New Testiment, Active Service Edition' in brilliant condition - 50p!
A 1945 dated first edition book "A Short History - 7th Armoured Division - June 1943 to July 1945" - £1!
A 1944 dated first edition book "The Unbroken Front" (Ministery of Food War Publication) - £1!
3 other 'Home Front' history books from the '70s and '80s - £1 each

Missed out on an Officers camp bed, which was sold just before I reached the stall :( but then again, I don't really need a third one...

From the same stall as the Dah, this bloke was selling a 1940s deck chair, which has a 1936 dated Eagle and Swastika branded grain sack used as the seating canvas, the sack was in great condition! He wanted £150 for it though...

French Army two man tent, a bit hard to get hold of atm. It seems to smell of garlic! I'll have to put it up to tonight and leave it to air for a couple of days.

Cheers
Martin

Bloomin Garlic Munchers - you'll need to dig out the authentic 40's Fabreeze ;)

Apart from the smell they are quite good tents - I have one in my collection

2x midcaps for my ppsh41... They're now in stock at Airsoft World.

They're ok, but its a shame the cutout for the hicap winder is still in the shell, I was hoping that wouldn't be there.

What may be an original wartime Airborne shirt at an awesome price. Have to wait till it arrives to be sure. (I think it might be airborne as the collar is lined with parachute silk) :good:

Deepfire stainless Steel 1st and 2nd Sear set for VSR-10.

Arrived exactly 9 months after I ordered it from Action Gamers back in June 2010  :slap:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
